The Designing ACTIONABLE Solutions for a Secure Homeland (DASSH) Student Design Challenge is your chance to tackle real-world homeland security challenges in a collaborative and innovative environment. Hosted by the Center for Accelerating Operational Efficiency (CAOE) at Arizona State University and the Soft Target Engineering to Neutralize the Threat Reality (SENTRY) at Northeastern University, this dynamic and hybrid event will task participants to develop innovative solutions to real-world homeland security problems with a focus on securing the future while considering the evolving effects of artificial intelligence. The DASSH Student Design Challenge will not focus primarily on coding challenges and in-depth AI knowledge is not required—this event emphasizes developing real-world solutions, regardless of the medium or approach. We encourage teams from all disciplines to participate in this unique opportunity to collaborate with peers, academic experts, and industry professionals while tackling pressing challenges in homeland security. Participants will work alongside academic and industry mentors, exploring solutions beyond coding challenges to tackle homeland security issues.
